The Brock House Bed & Breakfast in New Brockton was built in 1906 by Huey E. Brock for his son Albert Brock. Mister Huey E. Brock built the first residence in New Brockton, AL, in 1871 in a heavily wooded area. He also built the first store in New Brockton to serve the settlers in nearby communities. In the next nine years, there were fourteen stores built by other settlers. Guests can learn more about the history of the area and visit the only monument in the world glorifying a pest, the Boll Weevil. Also nearby is the U.S. Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker. There are numerous golf courses, antique shops, restaurants, and theatres in the general area of New Brockton, Alabama.
