Alabama Lodging at Grant Inns

Grant is a small community located on Gunter Mountain (El. 1310 Ft.) overlooking the Tennessee River and Lake Guntersville. Grant gets its name for the Post Office which serves Gunter Mountain and was named for General Ulysses S. Grant. It is the home of the Kate Duncan Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) School founded in 1924.  Five miles from Grant is the Cathedral Caverns State park. Lake Guntersville is an impoundment of the Tennessee River and is the largest lake in Alabama. It also has some of the best fishing in Alabama. It is navigable to boat and barge traffic and connects to Chattanooga through Nick-A-Jack Lake. Grant is conveniently situated between surrounding cities such as Guntersville, Scottsboro, and Huntsville Alabama, and is a great place to find a bed and breakfast. Honeycomb TVA boat ramp on Lake Guntersville, Honeycomb Campground, Erwin Marine Sales, The Harbor condominium complex, and The Natural Bridge and Ghost Creek Falls are located close to Grant and Krall Daddy’s Lodge B&B.
